Leon Thomasian is a Los Angeles-based composer, pianist, arranger, and producer whose music bridges cultures, genres, and generations. Born in Baghdad and of Armenian descent, Leon immigrated to the United States during a time of war, carrying with him the sounds, stories, and soul of his heritage. His work blends Middle Eastern modes, Western classical structure, jazz harmony, and cinematic textures—infusing each composition with a voice that is both deeply personal and universally resonant.
His career spans media scoring, live performance, and concert works, drawing on influences from contemporary, ethnic, and traditional styles. As a performer and orchestrator, he collaborates with ensembles such as the ACE Trio, The StArt Ensemble, and the Ararat Homenetmen Choir and Orchestra. He also composes for the acclaimed YouTube channel Pixel Playhouse.
